How to Adjust My Pricing Rules
Updated over a week ago

When setting your Pricing Rules, you can automatically adjust the price of ALL your products by applying either a Multiplied Markup or an Added Markup

Pricing Rules adjustments, such as increasing the multiplied markup from 2x to 3x, apply only to products added AFTER the rules are adjusted and are saved by you.

Once you save your pricing multiple, you will be given a warning that the changes will apply to all products except those which have the pricing locked.

Please note, if you have manually adjusted pricing in your store, we lock the prices with your change. This prevents us from updating your products with any pricing changes that suppliers have made, thus saving your preferred price.

If you wish to change all products, including those with locked prices, you must opt to unlock all of the products. Alternatively, you can apply your new pricing multiple to the unlocked products only.

We will also ask you to confirm this action.

Pricing Rules are set per product type such as Print on Demand, Independent Brands, AliExpress, AliBaba, CBD.co, and Beauty.

Why is 1.67 the default Multiplied Markup for Modalyst Marketplace Products?

For Modalyst Marketplace products, the suggested price increase Product Price is set to 1.67. This multiplier was selected intentionally to align with the Suggested Retail Price provided by the supplier on Modalyst.  The Suggested Retail Price is consistent with the pricing that the suppliers use to sell their own products. That said, please feel free to adjust the 1.67 to something else to achieve the margins you are looking for.

Do you want to offer free shipping to your customers?

We have a feature which enables you to add the cost of shipping to the price of the product. This passes the cost of shipping to your customers, who discreetly pay for it within the price of the product.

Please note: For Wix stores which added products through the Modalyst section in Find Products to Sell, we have automatically set this to Add so the prices already include the cost of shipping.

How is the shipping rate determined?

Suppliers define their shipping rate from their inventory's location to countries around the world. We add the shipping rate from the supplier to your store's primary country. If your customer is in a different country, the shipping cost may be different from the cost added to the product.

Ex) Your store is set to USA. The supplier is set to USA. We add $5 for the shipping rate to the product. If your customer is located in Canada, the cost of shipping will be higher and you will be responsible for that cost.

Set a shipping rate override and create your own shipping rate

You can also set your own shipping rate across all products. This lets you price shipping at whichever rate you would like to ensure that your shipping costs are covered. This is especially helpful when you have international customers.
